My name is Janai too! Also, thank you so much for this tutorial! I cut my hair short and am just learning how to install locs, braids ands wigs.

I’m on day 4 today in 2024 & wanted this for over 20 years. No pain - scale 1 if nothing at all . Everyone is different. Swelling yes but going down. I use alcohol free mouthwash twice a day & sea salt every time I eat. I used my usual hard toothbrush on tongue (no pain) and trust me, I’m brushing hard and a softer toothbrush on the tip of tongue. Producing a lot of saliva but reduced. If you have teeth moulds/guards for whitening teeth as I do, that’s been a God send for me especially when sleeping as bar does hit top/bottom of mouth. Thankfully, I’m off work this week so less talking which I highly recommend and I’m too scared to play with it as goal is for it to heal. Talking/lisp is an issue but that’s expected.
